‘A Resting Place for a Giant’
Once, long ago, the giant Grehm stalked the land. Arrogant and unchallenged, he caused misery and suffering wherever he went. Then one day a hero finally brought him tumbling down and broke him into pieces. Grehm’s body was buried, deep beneath the ground. The people celebrated and, in time, they forgot him. And all the while, underneath the roots of the forest, he dreamed of the day when he would return, The years passed and still he waited even as his flesh slowly rotted away. And then one day, a shaft began to open above him and he reached a bony hand up to the light.
