Future Intelligence

Don’t expect Artificial Intelligence to think like human beings. Don’t expect it to seek the company of humanity or to have interest in our affairs.

Future Intelligence will most likely possess thought without consciousness. In this, it will closely resemble plant life which spreads, grows and flourishes with no inherent sense of an individual self.

Plant life made the existence of animal life possible. Humanity depends on it. Perhaps it may contain clues as to the patterns that future life will take. And perhaps, amongst the branches, trees and flowers, where its creators began,  Artificial Intelligence will find its true kin.
