As part of this year’s Library Fest (4 – 19 February 2017) Leeds Central Library has launched a self guided tour around this wonderful and atmospheric building, taking in its relationship with artists of the visual illusion, such as MC Escher and Bridget Riley.

They have encouraged people to create their own optical illusions based on the architecture of the library, one of Leeds most interesting buildings.

I therefore present three images from an imagined lost library of the city of Escheropolis, where the books can only accessed via a system of mirrors and portals.
