This large pond is hidden away where urban streets begin to give way to farmland. In Summer, surrounded by life, it looks as though it has been here forever.

In Winter, when everything has been stripped bare, it’s more obvious that it’s artificial.

Large Weir

This weir is a relic of Leeds’ industrial history. The mills and the factories are gone but the weir has remained. It can be enjoyed as a beautiful waterfall.

Small Weir

A smaller waterfall nearby looks, at the right time of year, almost tropical.

Water is everywhere in the city.
