Walking Through Cities: Metal Patterns in the Sky
Crane
High above the city, the hollow towers and moving cranes make ever changing patterns against the sky. Lines, straight or angled, raising up and crisscrossing. Some of them are immobile sentries. The others work slowly and deliberately around the building sites of the city’s new born structures.
Tower (1)
In this age of fear about surveillance, some of them seem to be watching us, recording every misdeed and reporting it back to men in suits.
Tower (2)
Some could almost pass for sculptures. Their minimal lines and hollow spaces give the sky new and ambiguous meanings. An abstract beauty.
