Beneath Girders

Those places where nature and technology overlap. The one all sinewy spirals, circling outwards. The other angular and sharp, reaching straight up or across. When they meet, neither can quite hold dominance nor be entirely held at bay.  They usually find themselves having to live together.



Sometimes it’s hard to tell what is nature and what is art. The wall in the photo above is outside of an art gallery. In Spring, the plant life growing up it blooms with flowers. In winter, stripped back to the bone, it could be taken for an abstract drawing.
