Walking Through Cities: Part 19
This Will Be A Change
Like any good Science Fiction fan, I like tunnels. They’re a part of the cultural heritage I grew up with. Places for dark adventures. There’s an edge to being in one, especially alone. The functional lines have little room for human weakness. Maybe that’s why the walls so often end up covered in graffiti. It’s a way of marking territory in a place that doesn’t need us. To walk through a tunnel is to be in a state of transition. There’s no way to be sure you’ll be the same at the other end.
