Walking Through Cities: Part 16
Clarence Dock
There’s no other time quite like a January morning. Everything is hard, stark and without comfort. The empty parts of the city, where people are locked away at work or staying in the warmth of their homes, take on a different atmosphere. The world seems suddenly emptied, as though some mysterious apocalypse has taken place and these centres of activity are waiting for new uses and dangerous games. It’s like stepping back to adolescence, when what you most wanted was for everyone to disappear and leave you to your own devices.
The reflections are beautiful though.
