There are parts of any city where everything that is harsh and unwelcoming seems to gather. Brick, metal and barbed wire mesh together with little room for the people who made them. They are places that usually have No Entry signs above them, with an attached list of threats and consequences. Spaces that remind us that we can be cut and bruised. That whoever we may be, we are, ultimately, vulnerable to our surroundings. These are the parts of a city that seem to have no need of us and yet something compels us to want to explore them.
